Secondary School

Welcome to TGS Secondary!

We are excited to offer an outstanding, yet unique, high school experience for students with diverse learning needs.

Not only are our students supported in their access to the Australian Curriculum but also can take part in certificate courses including Hospitality, Workplace Skills, Vocational Pathways and Agrifoods.

All secondary students also complete qualifications in ASDAN, an internationally recognized curriculum which provides young people with the knowledge and skills for learning, work and life.

The combination of these courses allows students to earn points towards a QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education). It also ensures all students graduate with a QCIA (Queensland Certificate of Individual achievement).

We also invite secondary students to learn and work within our commercial café, “Chatters”. It is a great way for students to apply their academic learning to real-life situations, preparing them for the workforce and life post-schooling.

If that wasn’t enough, work has commenced on a multimillion building project, which will include an exclusive precinct for our secondary students. These state-of-the-art buildings will feature a commercial training kitchen which will provide 12 students with their own catering workspaces, along with a large workshop set aside for design and industrial technology.

Our goal is to nurture our young people, to provide them with incredible opportunities unavailable elsewhere and to enter the workforce, confident and capable citizens.

We are so proud of our students and the adults they become. We encourage you to visit us and see for yourself why.

We put the interests of others above our own and actively seek out opportunities to help.

We love what we do and show this through our enthusiasm, energy and positive mindset.

We have high expectations of ourselves and each other, and continually strive to be better tomorrow than we were today.

We accept responsibility, do what is expected of us and are answerable to each other.

We are friendly, generous and considerate in everything we do.

We deliberately enable others, develop their agency and voice, and are committed to their success.

We show through our everyday actions that we value others as unique individuals, entitled to our high regard and dignity; honouring their difference and contribution.
