Children may enter Junior School from other schools or may transition from Glenleighden’s Early Childhood program.
The Junior School program is based on a modified Australian Curriculum and students’ individual needs, catering for students from Years 1 to 2, and sometimes Year 3, depending on the individual student. Junior School also has a high staff to student ratio and utilises a multidisciplinary team.
Children at this level are generally beginning to cope with more formal expectations of school and are encouraged to gradually develop their independence in a safe and supported environment. They further develop their knowledge and skills through excursions, incursions and extracurricular activities.
