Meet the Team

Speech & Language Development Australia (SALDA) prides itself on the quality and diversity of its multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to service provision, reflected in all services and particularly exemplified in The Glenleighden School team.

A Welcome from the Executive Principal

For over forty years, The Glenleighden School has provided support, therapy and education to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs. As the CEO of Speech and Language Development Australia (SALDA), and the Executive Principal of The Glenleighden School (TGS), I am honoured to lead this remarkable school, the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. I am continually amazed by the huge potential and awesome achievements of our students in every aspect of school life. I feel privileged to work with such a great team of dedicated and professional staff helping every student to find their voice.”

The Glenleighden School follows the Australian Curriculum, individualised to meet the unique needs of the amazing children and young people we have the privilege to educate. All of our students have either Developmental Language Disorder, or another form of Language Disorder. Our staff are dedicated and passionate about working with every individual student to ensure extraordinary outcomes, beyond what anyone imagined possible.

Our experienced multi-disciplinary team includes teachers, school assistants, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, music therapists, counsellors, behaviour support specialists and an array of support staff.

A holistic and integrated approach to education, small class sizes and impressive staff-student ratios, ensure a supportive learning environment, where students with Language Disorder can thrive and achieve.

Our website can provide only a snapshot of our school community. I would encourage you to contact us to find out more and to arrange an opportunity to visit us and experience The Glenleighden School for yourself.
